A Few of My Favourite Things (AKA Free Canadian Prospect Research Resources) – Part 3

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season.  As we rang in 2017 and I looked back at past blog posts I felt that it was time to update my Favourite Things list.  I hope you found Part 1 and Part 2 helpful.  These free sources can be very beneficial in helping your organization achieve its fundraising goals.  Here are a few more for you to take a peek at in the new year:

  1. Provincial Election Contributor Listings: In some cases the provincial/territory site is complete with a search field; in some cases you are only able to pull up the complete list and search the document yourself. Here are a couple of examples: in Manitoba these lists can be found by year and then political party; in Alberta you are able to search by contributor name.
  2. Canadian Federal Election Contributors: You are able to search for contributors to federal elections for provinces/territories, electoral districts, and political parties.
  3. Yourlifemoments.ca: A  free source to search for a number of published items including obituaries, graduations, marriages, anniversaries, births, and more. You are able to search a number of publications for Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.

I hope you enjoy these free Canadian prospect research resources.  If you have any questions or have more to add to the list I would love to hear from you.
